KMS Features Next-Generation Flagship Products at ACE12
May 1, 2012
Koch Membrane Systems, Inc. (KMS) will present its flagship products for the water and wastewater market June 10-14 at ACE12, the American Water Works Association’s Annual Conference & Exposition at the Dallas Convention Center. The event hosts more than 13,000 water industry professionals from around the world.
KMS, a world-class developer and manufacturer of innovative membranes and membrane filtration systems, will display the latest generations of the TARGA® II Hollow Fiber Ultrafiltration system and the PURON® membrane bioreactor (MBR) system at Booth #2507 at the conference.
The TARGA II HF system offers a cost-effective, safe, high-quality water solution for a variety of ultrafiltration applications, from drinking water to seawater pretreatment, industrial water treatment, and tertiary wastewater treatment. The TARGA II HF system features a robust PES membrane, optimized cartridge and rack design, and one of the smallest footprints on the market. The fibers are ideally suited to meet drinking water requirements and provide 4-log virus removal. The cornerstone of the TARGA II HF system is intelligent process controls to handle variations in water quality and flow with minimal operator intervention, reduced chemical use, and improved energy efficiency.
The PURON PSH1800 MBR module offers up to a 25 percent capacity increase from previous PURON generations, as well as a 10 percent lower aeration requirement and a 10 percent greater surface area than competitive products. The new module leverages PURON’s innovative central aeration and single header design to provide superior solids management, reduced energy and life-cycle costs, and one of highest packing density, smallest footprint MBR modules available in the marketplace. All PURON PSH modules are compatible with other commercial MBR systems.
PURON PLUS Engineered Systems are comprehensive, complete-packaged MBR systems for flow rates up to 200,000 GPD (760 m3/day). For larger flow rates, KMS offers a family of pre-engineered modular MBR systems that can be arranged to meet almost any plant layout or required flow rate.
